Here is how you can remove any installed Windows update from your Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer: Since removing an update from Windows 8/Windows 8.1 is an administrative task, you must be logged on to the computer using an administrator account. In order to make your Windows 8/Windows 8.1 screensaver function again, all you need to do is to uninstall the above Windows update, and install its upper version. If your copy Windows 8/Windows 8.1 is configured to automatically update itself (which is always recommended), probably the Windows update 2756872 has been installed on your computer without coming into your knowledge. The issue with the screensaver and other relevant problems such as power saver options, indexed search results, etc. Many people are facing the same problem but rest assured that the problem is not that big. I can only surmise that a recent update has changed a setting or done something to prevent the screen saver from activating. This is not a very uncommon issue with Windows 8/Windows 8.1. I have had my oculus since June and never had this problem before.

I prefer to not turn the monitors off, if the screen saver will darken it automatically. I know that screen savers are a relic and not really needed, but I like my computer to darken (dark screensaver) for the night so that my home isn't lit up by the monitors. Once I determined when it started working I tried to confirm what device was preventing it from working. Set my screensaver to one minute and disconnected devices one at a time. So it was recommended that I troubleshoot the issue by removing devices until it works again. Internet says that wireless devices can cause this issue, but I never had that issue before. I haven't been able to engage my screen saver for between a few days to two weeks (not sure when started). I believe a recent update is preventing my screen saver/power settings from not functioning.
